A Beervelde Affair
A Beervelde Affair
Twice a year, the estate around Beervelde Castle opens its gates for the Garden Days — a place where greenery, flowers, atmosphere and creativity come together.
In autumn, Beervelde is at its most beautiful. Warm tones, pumpkins in all shapes and sizes, ornamental fruit, peppers, berries, dahlias and special plants create an abundance of colour and texture. Everywhere you discover little corners, original displays and combinations that immediately make you want to get started yourself.
What inspires me most is how rich autumn can be. Not only flowers, but also vegetables, fruit, branches and seed boxes become decorative elements. From soft grey-green and olive to deep red, burgundy, orange and pink — colours that come together surprisingly beautifully.
Among the stands and gardens, there is also that typical cosy Beervelde atmosphere: walking, looking, discovering, gathering ideas… and here and there taking something beautiful home with you.
For me, it is always a source of inspiration. For bouquets, table decorations, events and autumn compositions in which flowers can be combined with everything the season has to offer.
Autumn is not only a season, it’s a palette.
